With the 2009-2010 NBA basketball season coming to a close, there are some indications of what is to come with the playoffs. The East, throughout the season, has been dominated by the big four. The Cavaliers, Magic, Hawks, and Celtics have held it down within their conference. The West, however, has been a bit different. Other than the Lakers, seeds two through eight are only separated by a maximum of four games. With the standings as they are after 80 games (in an 82 game season), let’s take an in depth look at the potential match-ups in both conferences.
